Fowey is an incredible place to explore, and if you're popping down to Cornwall, don't forget to pop in.
Fowey has a rich and fascinating history that dates back centuries. The town's strategic location on the Fowey Estuary made it an important port and trading hub during medieval times.
Fowey's maritime heritage and connections with the sea have been immortalised in literature. Renowned author Daphne du Maurier lived and found inspiration in Fowey, incorporating the town's beauty and mystique into several of her novels, including "Rebecca" and "Frenchman's Creek."
Today, Fowey retains its maritime charm and is a popular destination for boating enthusiasts, history buffs, and visitors seeking a picturesque coastal experience.
