The Stonewall Inn was a place for the LGBTQ+ community to gather and socialise, and on 28th June 1969, was subject to violent police raids. During these raids, many members of the LGBTQ+ community had to endure violence, discrimination and abuse. Today, Pride is celebrated throughout June to commemorate the Stonewall riots, raise LGBTQ+ voices against ongoing discrimination, and celebrate hope, courage, strength and love.
At Flapjackery, we want to voice our support of the LGBTQ+ members of our community and celebrate Pride. Throughout June, we will be selling flapjacks that do just that! 50p from sales of our 3 Piece Pride Box will be donated to Proud2Be, a charity supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community in Devon and beyond, and £1.50 from our set of 6 Piece Pride Boxes.
Our Pride flapjack is all butter and gluten-free, with a layer of milk chocolate fudge, topped with orange flavoured Belgian chocolate and decorated with coloured white chocolate swirls.
If you want something to send to a loved one this Pride month, choose our new Pride box. Both boxes contain the new Pride flapjack, with the 3 piece box coming with the honeycomb flapjack and salted caramel brownie flapjack. The 6 piece box contains the same, but with an extra Pride flapjack, the caramel latte flapjack and the golden caramel flapjack.
Celebrate yourself or your loved one this June with a treat from Flapjackery.
Happy Pride!
Love is Love.
